Take a private safari to the best of all the east African national parks. You will visit the wonders of the amazing Ngorongoro Crater, the world famous Serengeti National Park and Tarangire's gigantic Baobab trees and huge elephant populations. Depending on the time of year, you'll have the chance to see the great migration in the Serengeti National Park.

The tour starts in Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) and ends in Arusha Airport.  Along the way you'll have countless adventures in your own animal tracking vehicle, traveling the wild African savanna in search of big game. Itinerary Day Description

Day 1: Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) – Arusha

Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), your driver guide will meet you. After your trip briefing, you will drive with us to your hotel in Arusha town. Enjoy great views of Mt. Kilimanjaro's snow-capped Uhuru Peak; while you settle in over dinner have a good night sleep.

Day 2: Arusha –Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, with packed lunch boxes, you will depart for Tarangire National Park, Tanzania's third largest national park and sanctuary for an unusually large elephant population. Majestic baobab trees are an interesting feature of the park, dwarfing the animals that feed beneath them. Animals concentrate along the Tarangire River, which provides the only permanent water supply in the area.

There is a great diversity of wildlife including lion, leopard, and cheetah and up to six thousand elephant.

Day 3: Tarangire - Serengeti National Park.

After breakfast from your lodge, with packed lunch boxes, you will drive onto Serengeti National Park with plenty to see on the way!. En route you will see grazing zebras, antelopes and giraffes and sometimes some buffalos hiding in the bush.

The South Serengeti ecosystem belongs partly to the Serengeti National park and partly to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area (Ndutu Area). You will start your day 1 game drive into Serengeti National Park.

You will be able to game drive the central Serengeti en route to your camp.

Depending on the time of year and the migration of the herds you can expect to see wildebeest, lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, monkeys, baboons, hippos, rhinos, antelopes and many birds and other species. After your game drive in Serengeti National Park, you will drive to your camp and retire your day for dinner and overnight at Serengeti Acacia Camp   all meals included

Day 4: Full day game drive in Serengeti National Park

You will have breakfast at the camp and embark yourself on a full day game drive in Serengeti National park.

The Migration, consisting of around 2 million animals, is on the move all year round. Depending on the season you may see this impressive phenomenon.

Naturally it also attracts a mass of predators and you may be able to see a band of lionesses gather for a hunt.

After your full day game drive in Serengeti National Park, you will return to your camp for your 2nd overnight at Serengeti Acacia Camp in central Serengeti. All meals included

Day 5: Serengeti - Ngorongoro Crater

Ngorongoro Crater - Natural Wonders

After breakfast from your camp, with packed lunch boxes, you will depart Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you'll descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a wonderful game drive and picnic lunch. The inside of the crater is considered a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

As very few animals migrate in and out of the crater with its 2000 ft. high walls, the Ngorongoro Crater has one of the highest wild animal densities worldwide. Among the species are lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, many birds and other species. You might expect to see the ‘Big Five’ in one day! You'll then stay overnight at a lodge outside the crater.

Day 6: Depart Ngorongoro - Kilimanjaro International Airport

After breakfast it'll be time to begin saying goodbye to Tanzania, as you drive to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your international flight. Farewell and welcome back to Tanzania!

Depending on the time of year, you’ll have the chance to see the great migration in the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania; furthermore you will enjoy a spectacular game drive to the floor of the Ngorongoro Crater which is considered to be one of the Natural Wonders of Africa, and UNESCO World Heritage.

The tour starts from Zanzibar at the Zanzibari Hotel and ends with a return trip back on Zanzibari Island at the Zanzibari Hotel.

Along the way you’ll have countless adventures in your own animal tracking vehicle, traveling the wild African savanna in search of big game. If you’re a nature enthusiast at heart, this trip is definitely one you don’t want to miss!

Itinerary Day Description

Day 1:  Depart Zanzibar – Kilimanjaro Airport / (Arusha) – Serengeti National Park

Endless Plains of the Serengeti

Early morning wake-up with coffee from the Zanzibari Hotel, drive to Zanzibar Airport for your domestic flight to Kilimanjaro Airport or Arusha Airport.

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro airport (Arusha Airport), meet and greet your professional driver guide. Your driver guide shall give you a briefing of your safari trip.

With packed lunch boxes, you will start on your way to the Serengeti National Park, before you go further, you will have a stopover at Ngorongoro Conservation area for a short visit to see the original Masai tribe and how their way of life.

This place is known as ‘Masai Boma’ (means Masai village home). The stop over at Masai Boma visit shall take you 20 to 30 minutes time depending on your interest. See below some details of this place from photos.

We hope you will be pleased to visit and see this place, also to get to know the Masai people’s culture, tradition and their history behind to why they still conserve and respect their original culture since the very beginning with very little changes.

It will be time to head further into Naabi Hill gate to Serengeti National Park, with a stopping point for a picnic lunch on a kopje (rock outcropping).  You pass through green savannah where elephants and giraffes roam, through a stretch of territory which is rarely visited by travelers, to reach the central Serengeti.

The name Serengeti comes from the Masai word, “Siringet” referring to an endless plain. As you traverse the park, you’ll begin to understand the reason behind this name. Once you’ve seen enough game for the day, it will be on to your nearby lodge in time for dinner.

Day 2: Full day Game drives in the Serengeti National Park

Great Wildebeest Migration

If you rise early you can take a morning game drive through the park to see the nocturnal predators returning from their nightly hunt and animals waking up in the early morning light. 

Depending on the time of year and the migration of the herds, you can expect to see wildebeest, lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, monkeys, baboons, hippos, rhinos, antelopes and many birds and other species.

More likely good chances in August each year, you will drive further North of Serengeti National Park to Mara River to witness the Great Wildebeest migration crossing Mara river to.

Your driver will be in contact with other safari drivers and will amaze you with his skill at locating the hidden animals. You will then head back to your lodge for another night.

There is an optional hot-air balloon safari (not included in the package price), which will take place in the morning, just as the sun rises. You’ll float in whichever direction the morning winds take you. Your pilot can precisely control the altitude of your balloon; at times he will ascend to 1000′ or more to see the enormity and wonderful panorama of the Serengeti.

After the landing you celebrate with champagne and a full English breakfast prepared and served in the bush in ‘Out of Africa’ style. After breakfast you receive your Serengeti balloon certificate and drive back to your lodge or proceed with your day’s activities and game drives around the Serengeti.

Day 3:   Serengeti National Park   – Ngorongoro Crater

Early morning check-out from your lodge and drive to Ngorongoro Crater.

Ngorongoro Crater – Natural Wonders

Upon arrival at Ngorongoro you will descend into the crater floor for a wonderful game drive and picnic lunch. The inside of the Ngorongoro Crater is often described as one of the most spectacular natural wonders of the world. It is the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and a natural sanctuary for one of Africa’s most dense animal populations. It is one of the few places where the rare black rhino can still be observed in its natural setting.

As very few animals migrate in and out of the crater because of its 2,000 ft. high walls, you can expect to see lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, many birds and other species. With a bit of luck, the ‘Big Five’ can all be spotted in a single game drive.

Enjoy the game drive on the crater floor until before 5pm when you will be supposed to ascent on the crater walls to your lodge for dinner and overnight accommodation at either Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge  which is located on the rim of the crater (inside Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority)

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater – Kilimanjaro Airport (Arusha) – Zanzibar Island

Out of Tanzania mainland

Today you will have to bid a fond farewell to Tanzania. At the appropriate time you will be driving to Arusha for your flight to Zanzibar Island.

Upon arrival on Zanzibar Airport, you will meet your driver and drive to the Zanzibari Boutique Hotel for your further stay.
